Currently I’m taking an online card class from Online Card Classes. The class is called Wild Card and it explores taking card making to another level beyond just opening a sentiment card. It will touch on 3D, movement, pop-ups, shakers and gift giving cards.
The most fun card to make so far in the class has been from the Day 2 class. It involved creating a slider mechanism to side part of the card element over to another. As always, I created a helpful tool with my Cricut Explore by having it cut out the slider part of the card. (file here).
- Lawn Fawn Stitched hillside borders
- Sunny Studio Sunny Snippits
- Tim Holtz sentiments
Today I’m posting a card I made for the Color Your Day class I’m taking. The process they wanted us to use was adding color. I used the Altenew Peony Bouquet layering stamp set. the instructor, Therese Calvird, who was great by the way, showed us how she cut out a thin rectangle after she stamped and layered the images.
I, of course, had to bring in my Cricut Explore and have it do it for me so it would be precise. I layered the middle section and popped it up to give it some dimension. And as always, added some glitter & Wink of Stella!
These next two pics are for the Art Impressions Challenge!
